What we have is only tabloid media.

For a long time there is no difference between the 3rd page gossips and news in Indian media, particularly English media, be it TV’s or News Papers. Best example of this rubbish we hear, see and read came out in the recent advertisement war between the Peoples Daily of China ,Chennai edition – also called as “The Hindu” and Times of India. The Hindu advertisement shows that Times of India reads or basically uninformed idiots who only know gossips on “Size Zero” type news. Times of India did not of course retaliated saying that The Hindu is a pro terrorist, naxal papers under mental control of the Communist Party of China, as it will amount be critical to what goes as “intellectual” in this nation of ours.

We can discuss about the leftist traitors in a different place let us stick to what is going around as “news”. No one can tell us what is the basis for a news item being considered for reporting and what is the basis the editors of responsible media consider, for all day reporting on a drunken idiot hitting an old foreigner and broke another foreigner’s nose. It is as if nothing else is happening in the entire nation or world. One example immediately I remember is when Aishwarya Rai got married. Entire day on every TV Channel be it English or Hindi, there is only one news item. That is of her marriage. Again why this disproportionate reporting.

Justice Katju said on the other day we do not have quality journalists or editors. How can he or any one of us expect such things when news paper or TV owners are in the “business” for making money and not to do any social service. It is very easy to publish such rubbish than do any serious reporting. Most of the high profile journalists/writers, in fact, even the low profile ones are interested to be seen with “celebrities”, what ever that means. Between all the work of meeting politicos, rich business men/women and movers and shakers of the world, they really have time to read or study any subject or do any in depth anylasis on any matter.

It also helps that most of them are leftist liberals who can come to quick “conclusions” and offer quick communist “views”.

The media is of course has its own “ lines” which it will not cross. Like personal lives of any political leader? Unlike films actors, personal conduct of people in politics is very important to the nation. It helps us to make a judgment on their personal conduct. I can understand if personal life of all the people is not being reported. We can argue that people want to know about the personal lives of Cinema actors. I am sure that people also want to know about the personal lives of their political leaders also. Particularly, when you family connections are the main reasons for getting into power or distributing seats and while looting public money by your family members.
For example - What is the relationship between Kanimozi and Raja? Has any one in press asked any question or done follow up investigation? Why we all saw Kanimozi husband who said to be residing in Singapore immediately after her arrests and nothing thereafter. He neither spoke to media or nor done anything thereafter. It is time and again alleged that money looted in 2G scam is sent to foreign lands. Has Kanimozi’s husband played any role in that? No such questions asked and will not be asked by our media.

Even while reporting of film actors there is no serious reporting. All kinds of social media postings are being reported as if they wherein all kinds are quotes can be given without any one putting any questions. For example when one says that Saif Ali Khan is a nice person he did not punched on the nose of that foreigner, we can not question that person how can you be certain that a man obviously drink will behave like a gentleman. No reasonable person will give such conduct certificate even to their close relates and friends. Suddenly entire TV space is occupied by people who are ready to give conduct certificate for this drunk and we have to see it days together. We had to listen to the allegations that person injured is seeking their 15 minutes of fame. Does any one other than these film fellows care for such “fame”. So even while reporting on personal life of these fellows we only need to report good things and nothing bad should be reported. What kind of self imposed restrictions are these?
